J L N College is located at number 30 in Dehri On Sone, which is part of the Rohtas district in Bihar. The town is right by the Sone River, and the college sits in a spot that most locals know well. It’s an older institution, and the walls show the age of the place with some peeling paint and weathered bricks. Students from the nearby towns and villages arrive early, some by train and others by local rickshaws. The campus has a few main buildings where the arts and science classes are held. It is a fairly simple setup with wooden benches and blackboards that have seen many years of use. During the exam season, the atmosphere gets a bit tense, and you see groups of students huddling under the trees with their notes. Otherwise, it’s a pretty relaxed place. The staff room is usually full of teachers drinking tea and discussing the day's schedule. We don't have high-tech gadgets in every room, but the library has a decent collection of books that students actually use. Sometimes the goats from the neighborhood wander onto the grass, and nobody really minds. It’s just a regular college for regular people who want to get their degrees. There is a small shop nearby that sells pens and snacks, which is always busy during the breaks. It’s just how life is here in Rohtas, steady and focused on the basics of education.
