Hansvahini Education And Social Welfare Foundation

We are based in Alampur, which is a small village tucked away in the Rohtas district. Our foundation, Hansvahini Education And Social Welfare Foundation, is mostly run by local people like Nitesh Kumar, who is the son of Kamla Kant. We don’t have a big fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just a simple place where we try to help out with education and some general social work for the families around here. Rohtas is a beautiful place but it has its fair share of problems, and we just try to do our bit. Sometimes we are helping a kid get the right books for school, and other times we are just helping an elderly neighbor figure out some government forms. It is hard work and the days are long, but we like being part of this community. We grew up on these streets and we know the people here. We don't use any of that corporate talk or make big promises we can't keep. We just wake up, see what needs to be done, and try to do it. It’s a very basic operation, just a few of us sitting around a table making plans. People in Alampur know where to find us if they need anything. We don’t have a big marketing budget, so word of mouth is how most folks hear about us. It's honest work and we plan to keep at it for a long time.
