Chitra Charitable Foundation

Chitra Charitable Foundation is basically just us working out of Chitrangan V Singh’s place here in Dinara. We have been in the Rohtas district for a while now. Most people around here know the village and where the post office is. It is not some big fancy office building with glass walls. We just have a desk and some chairs in the village. Life in Dinara is pretty quiet but there is always something to do. People walk in when they have issues or just want to talk about what is happening in the community. We started this because we saw things that needed attention right here at home. Sometimes the roads are dusty and the weather gets really hot in the summer, but we stay busy. It is mostly local folks helping local folks. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a few of us trying to make the days a bit better for the neighbors. Sometimes we sit out in the evening and discuss what needs to be handled next week. Being in Rohtas means we are connected to the land and the people who live on it. We grew up here, so we know the names of the families and the history of the area. It is just a simple setup and we like it that way. We don't need much to get the work done, just some patience and a bit of time every day.
