Brahmpura Rural And Urban Nidhi Limited is based out of Akasi village in the Sasaram block. Our office is at Srikrishna Prasad’s house. Living in a place like Akasi, you realize that things move a bit slower than in the big cities, and we are fine with that. We handle both rural and urban needs because we are situated right on the edge of things. Most of our work involves sitting at a wooden table with a stack of papers and a pen. We track the small amounts of money that local people want to save. We spend a lot of time on this because we see these people every day at the local shop or on the road. We don't have a fancy website or a big staff. It is usually just one or two of us handling everything from the filing to the counting. The office can get a bit dusty because of the roads nearby, but we keep the books clean. We started this because we saw that people needed a local place they could trust without having to go all the way into the main town of Sasaram every time they had a question. We don't make big promises. We just tell people we will look after their records and keep things organized. It’s a quiet life here in the village, and we are happy to spend our days helping our neighbors keep their finances in order.
