Anurag Steel Traders

Our place is called Anurag Steel Traders and we are located at Shop No.55. We’re right near the Railway Marg in Dehri Bmp, which is in the Rohtas district. Being so close to the railway means we hear the trains going by all day and night. It’s a sound we’ve gotten used to over the years. The shop isn't very big, but it serves our needs. We have stacks of steel products piled up, and sometimes it's a bit of a maze to get through. We open up early because that’s when people start their day around here. Most of our visitors are locals from the district who need stuff for their own projects. We don't have any polished sales talk. We just tell people what we have and what the price is. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs when it’s slow, watching the people go by on the way to the station. It’s a simple life in Rohtas. We don’t use computers for everything; a lot is still done with pen and paper in our big account books. The dust from the road and the tracks gets everywhere, so we’re always wiping things down. We aren't trying to be some big corporation. We’re just a small shop by the tracks, doing our business and talking to our neighbors as they pass through Dehri.
