R A Fastners

Our shop, R A Fastners, is at 84-A, tucked right behind the Giriraj Complex near the Hisar Bye Pass Chowk. It’s a very busy spot because of the chowk, with trucks and cars constantly passing by. You can hear the horns all day long, but you get used to it after a while. We deal with fasteners of all shapes and sizes. The shop is filled with rows of bins and shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It can be a bit dusty, especially when the wind kicks up from the main road, but that is part of the job. We don't have a shiny showroom. It’s more of a warehouse feel where we spend our time counting out orders and packing them up. Sometimes someone comes in looking for one specific bolt that they can't find anywhere else, and we spend twenty minutes digging through a box to find it. We don't mind, though. It’s a practical business and we like being useful to the local mechanics and builders who stop by. The guys here have been working together for a long time, so we have our own way of doing things that might look messy to an outsider, but it makes sense to us. We stay open late sometimes if a big order needs to go out the next morning. It’s just how we run things here.
