Our office is basically a house in the New Housing Board Colony in Rohtak, specifically House No-1838 in Sector-1. It doesn't really look like a big engineering firm from the outside because it’s tucked into a residential street where people are just living their lives. We use the front rooms for the desks and the back area for storing some of the smaller equipment and site gear. It gets incredibly hot in Rohtak during the summer and the small AC unit we have struggles to keep up with the heat. We spend a lot of time on our laptops or on the phone coordinating with the guys out at the project sites. There is usually a pile of boots by the door because people are always coming in from the muddy fields. We’ve got some maps of the local area pinned to the walls with those little plastic tacks. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time for a meeting, but we make it work. The neighbors are used to seeing us by now, and sometimes we even get the mail for the house next door by mistake. It’s a simple setup without any big signs or lobby area. We just need a place to sit and organize the work orders before we head back out to the construction locations.
