Navkar Trading Company is located at 1496/25 in the Dhanu Mandi area of Rohtak. Being on Jhajjar Road means we are right in the thick of the trading action. The Mandi is a very specific kind of environment. It is loud, busy, and always smells like the seasons' crops. We have been working out of this spot for years. Our daily life involves a lot of weighing, checking quality, and talking to people who come in from the surrounding farms. The office is very simple, just some old wooden furniture and ledgers. We don't use a lot of fancy technology here; it's more about the handshakes and the steady flow of goods. Rohtak weather can be tough, either very hot or quite cold, but the market stays active regardless. We see the same faces every week, which is nice. It feels like a community where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We trade in various commodities and the prices change every day, so we have to stay on our toes. It isn't a glamorous job, but it is a necessary one. We just try to be fair and keep our records straight. When the sun goes down, the market slows down a bit, and that is when we finish up our paperwork for the day. It’s a life that revolves around the harvest and the road, and we are quite used to the pace of the Mandi by now.
