Hind Earth Movers

Being right here on the Sheela Bypass means there is never really a quiet moment. The trucks are always rumbling by on Sonepat Road, heading towards the city or going back out. We are tucked in near the Rathee Petrol Pump, which is handy because we see everyone stopping for fuel. It’s a lot of noise and a lot of diesel smell most of the day. We deal with the heavy machines, the kind that move a lot of dirt and rock. It gets pretty messy in the rainy season when the ground turns to mud, but that is the nature of the business. We don't spend much time worrying about how the place looks. There are spare parts lying around and usually a layer of dust on everything in the shop. People come in looking for help with their excavators or just need someone to look at a hydraulic leak. It is mostly just us working through the list of things that need fixing. We don’t have a receptionist or anything; usually, you just find one of us out back with a wrench. The sun hits the front of the building hard in the evenings. Sometimes we sit out front for a bit once the traffic dies down. It’s a decent enough spot to work from. We’ve been here long enough that most of the local drivers know where to find us if they get into a spot of trouble with their gear.
