Hansra Foundation

We set up the Hansra Foundation over near the government senior secondary school. It is basically run out of Siya Ram Sharma’s place in Ward Number 9. We have been here for a while now, just doing what needs doing around the neighborhood. It isn't a big fancy office or anything like that, just a local spot where we handle things. People around here know the school well, so finding us isn't usually a problem. We started this because there were things that needed taking care of and nobody else was really stepping up at the time. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, but we manage. Most days it’s just about showing up and seeing who needs a hand with something. We do not have a big team or anything, just a few of us trying to make the day go a bit easier for the folks around Ward 9. It’s quiet mostly. We like it that way. If you walk past the school and see Siya Ram's place, that’s where we are. It has been a learning process for all of us, honestly. Some days are busier than others, especially when the school is let out. We just try to keep things moving along without too much fuss. No big speeches or flyers. Just us here in the ward, doing the work we can. It’s simple work but it keeps us busy enough.
