Ambika Sports Wear

Our workshop for Ambika Sports Wear is located at 113 Devi Vihar in Sector 22. It’s a decent sized space where we spend most of our time dealing with fabrics and sewing machines. We focus on making sports kits and jerseys for local teams and schools around the area. The place is usually filled with rolls of polyester and mesh in all different colors. We have about four or five heavy-duty machines that keep a steady hum going throughout the afternoon. It’s not a fancy boutique; there are thread snippets all over the floor and stacks of half-finished shorts on the tables. We cut everything by hand on a long wooden table that’s seen a lot of use over the years. The light comes in through two big windows, which is nice, but it makes the room quite warm in the summer. We keep a couple of pedestal fans going to stay cool. People from the neighborhood often stop by to ask about custom tracksuits or just to see what we're working on. We don't have a proper reception area, just a small stool by the door. It’s a bit cluttered with patterns and elastic bands, but we know where everything is. We stay busy during the tournament seasons when everyone needs their uniforms at the same time. It’s a lot of sitting and stitching, but we’ve got a good rhythm down here in Sector 22.
