Our place, Sudarshan Chemicals Ltd., is right in the middle of the Raigarh Midc Industrial Area. If you know the area, you know it’s always loud and there’s always trucks moving around. We’ve been set up here for a good bit of time. It’s a large site, plenty of pipes and tanks everywhere you look. We spend most of our hours making sure the production lines are moving like they should. It’s definitely not a quiet desk job. Most of us are out on the floor or checking the gauges and the pressure valves. Raigarh gets pretty hot, and the industrial zone doesn’t have much shade, so we just get used to the heat and the dust. We deal with a lot of industrial clients who need specific batches of chemicals. Sometimes the orders are huge and we’re working late shifts to get them out on time. Other times, it’s just the routine maintenance stuff that keeps us occupied. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the drums and the shipping logs. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping an eye on the safety stuff. The neighbors are all other factories, so we fit right in. We’ve had some of the same staff for ages, and they know the machines better than anyone. It’s just a standard industrial operation, nothing more to it than that. We show up, do the work, and head home when the shift is over.
