Agri Clinic

Setting up shop in Sonbhadra was something that just happened because this is where we are from. It’s not like those big city clinics where everything is shiny and white. Here, we mostly deal with dirt and seeds and whatever the weather is doing to the crops this week. Some days it is really quiet and we just sit around talking to the people who walk in with a handful of leaves or some soil they are worried about. We try to help out when we can. The town is small enough that word gets around if you do a good job or if you don't. We just have our small space and we keep the shelves stocked with whatever is in season. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything, especially when the power goes out or the heat gets too much in the middle of the day. But we like it here. It’s home. People come in from the surrounding villages and they stay for a tea sometimes while we look at their stuff. It isn’t a fast business. You have to wait for things to grow to see if what you did worked. That is just how agriculture is. We aren't trying to be anything big, just a place for folks to come when they have a problem with their fields.
