If you walk down Laxman Jhula Road toward Tapovan, you’ll find us near Hotel Ganesha. This part of Rishikesh is a bit different from the main town because it’s full of travelers from all over the world. At Rishikesh Travel Point, we spend our days talking to people who want to see the Ganges or head up into the hills. The road outside is narrow and can get blocked by cows or scooters quite often. It’s just the way things are in Tapovan. Our office is tucked away a little bit, which is nice because it stays a bit cooler in the afternoon. We have some maps pinned to the walls and a lot of notebooks scattered around. We don't have any polished speeches or marketing tricks for anyone. We just tell people which roads are open and how long it might take to get there. Sometimes the power goes out, so we sit on the steps and wait for it to come back. It’s a good chance to talk to the neighbors. Most of us here have lived in Uttranchal our whole lives. We’ve seen the town change a lot over the years, but the basic work remains the same. We just want to help you get your travel plans sorted so you can enjoy your time here. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a local spot with a few people who know the area well.
