We are set up at Umduba Raid Marwet, which is under Hima Myllien. If you are looking for us, we are located at Khasra No. 001527. It’s a bit out of the way in the Ri-Bhoi district, near the Khanapara police station. The area is quite industrial but still has that Meghalaya feel to it. We run a stone crusher, so it is definitely a noisy environment. There’s always the sound of rocks being broken down. It’s not the kind of job for someone who wants to stay clean all day. We work hard out here. Arinu Lyngdoh is part of the setup here. We deal with a lot of construction projects that need crushed stone for roads and buildings. It’s a lot of heavy machinery and constant maintenance. Sometimes the machines break down and it’s a whole day of grease and tools to get them going again. We don't have a polished front office. It's mostly just a shed and the crushing plant. The dust is everywhere, but that’s the job. We don’t spend time on fancy talk or marketing. We just focus on the daily output. Most of the people working here are from the surrounding villages. We’re just a local business trying to provide materials for the region's growth. It’s honest, tough work in the hills of Ri-Bhoi. We just keep the stones moving and try to stay on schedule as best as we can.
