MEGHOTEL VILLA AND RESORT PRIVATE LIMITED

Meghotel Villa and Resort Private Limited is our little venture located out in Jorabat. We are right on G.S Road, just across from the Jorabat Police Outpost. If you’re driving into Shillong, you’ve probably passed us plenty of times without thinking much of it. The area around Mawsmai can get quite busy with all the trucks and cars moving through. We have a few villas and the resort grounds to maintain, which is more work than it looks like on the outside. Every morning starts with a walk around the property to see if any branches fell or if the rain caused any trouble. We don't have a massive staff, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from fixing light bulbs to helping with the cooking. It’s a practical setup. We aren't trying to be a five-star luxury place with gold handles. It’s just a comfortable spot for travelers who need a break from the road. The noise from G.S Road can be a bit much during the day, but it settles down eventually. We’ve been here for a while now and have seen the area change a lot. We just keep our heads down and focus on keeping the place clean and ready for whoever shows up. It’s a lot of routine, but we like the familiarity of it and the people we meet.
