MEGHLOOM ERI WOMEN PRODUCER COMPANY LIMITED

We are over at House No. 39 in the Manipur area of Ribhoi. It’s a quiet spot most days, but inside here, things get pretty busy. We’re a group of local women mostly doing stuff with Eri silk. If you know the 793102 pin code area, it’s not hard to find us. We aren't some big corporate office with glass walls. It's just a regular building where we handle the looms and the yarn. Most of the work is done by hand, and it takes time. Sometimes the rain here in Meghalaya makes things move a bit slower, especially with drying everything, but we just keep at it. People ask what we do, and we just say we make things. It's a producer company, which sounds formal, but it's really just us working together to make sure the work gets done and the Eri goes where it needs to go. We don't have a big front desk or anything. Usually, you'll just find a few of us sorting through the materials or talking about the next batch of silk. It’s been this way for a while now. We share the space, drink some tea, and get through the orders. Nothing too fancy, just honest work from our corner of Ribhoi. We've got our routine and it works for us. It’s nice being part of something local that helps everyone out in the neighborhood.
