Stonehenge Inc.

Our office is located at 261 in the New Grain Market. It’s a very busy part of town with trucks and tractors coming and going throughout the day. Stonehenge Inc. has been operating from this spot for quite a while. Being situated in the grain market means there is always a lot of noise and a fair amount of dust, but this is where the actual business happens. We deal with various heavy materials, mostly different stone products, as you might guess from our name. It’s physically demanding work and your clothes usually end up pretty dusty by the end of the shift. We don't have a fancy reception area or a polished front desk. It’s just a practical space where we keep our records and talk to the drivers. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when the heavy rains turn the market area into a bit of a muddy mess. We just put on our boots and deal with it. I spend a lot of my day checking the quality of the slabs that arrive. If something is chipped or cracked, we have to sort it out right away. We aren't trying to sell anyone a dream; we just provide the raw materials that people ask for. Most of our customers are local builders or folks doing their own home renovations. They usually know exactly what they want, and we tell them straight if we have it or not. It’s a very direct way of doing business. We stay busy and keep things moving.
