Shopper Stop

We are based in V.P.O-Darauli, which is a small place in the Rewari district of Haryana. Working for Shopper Stop out here is a bit different than being in a big city mall. Our daily routine involves a lot of handling stock and making sure the local needs are met. The pace in Darauli is a lot slower than what you would find in Delhi or Gurgaon, but that doesn't mean we aren't busy. We spend our mornings unloading trucks and checking the inventory lists to see what sold the day before. The building we use is pretty basic and we don't have any of those fancy decorations you see in the big showrooms. It is just a practical space where we can get the work done. The weather out here in Rewari can be tough, with a lot of dust and heat, so we spend a fair amount of time just keeping the place clean and the clothes looking fresh. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages and we all know each other's families. It is a nice way to work because it feels more like a community than a big company. We don't use a lot of complicated systems, just a computer and some notebooks to keep track of the sales. It is a simple life here in the village, but we take pride in the fact that we can bring these kinds of products to a place like Darauli.
