Shikshaveer Foundation

Our office is located at number 5, Gali Number 2 in Shakti Nagar. It’s a typical Rewari street, which means it’s narrow and usually full of life. We focus on education because we think it’s the most important thing for the kids in our city. The foundation is run out of a small room that we’ve tried our best to fix up. We have a few benches and a lot of books stacked against the walls. It gets a bit hot during the summer months since the old fan doesn't do much, but we just keep the door open to get a breeze. We’ve all lived in Rewari for years, so we know the families on this block and the next one too. People often stop by just to say hello or to tell us how their children are doing. We don’t have a big staff or any fancy equipment. It’s just us doing what we can with what we’ve got. Sometimes the place is a bit of a mess with papers and tea cups, but that's just because we are busy. We don’t have any big plans to become famous or anything. We just want to make sure the kids in Shakti Nagar have a place to come for help. It’s simple work, and we're glad to be doing it. We just take things one day at a time in our own little corner.
