Budhpur Bricks Udyog

Our brick works are situated in Village Budhpur, and it is pretty much what you would expect from a local kiln. We spend our days out in the fields dealing with clay, water, and fire to get these bricks made. It is a very old-fashioned kind of job and there is nothing fancy about how we do things here. The ground is often muddy, especially when we are mixing the earth, and the heat from the kilns can be quite intense during the summer months. We don't have a big office or a receptionist; you’ll usually find us out by the stacks or near the firing pits. People from the nearby villages come to us when they are starting a new project, and we just load up their tractors or trucks. It is a lot of physical work and we are often covered in dirt by the time we finish for the day. We don't really worry about fancy branding or slogans. We just focus on getting the bricks baked properly so they don't crumble. Some days the weather is against us and we can't get anything to dry, which can be a real headache. But that is just the nature of the business in a place like Budhpur. It is a quiet village for the most part, except for the sound of our work. We’ve been part of this community for a long time and we just keep doing what we know how to do.
