Vidyashilp Academy

Vidyashilp Academy is situated on University Road in the Khutehi area of Rewa. It is a convenient location for many families who live in this part of the city. The school is a functional building with enough rooms for all the different grades we handle. It is not an old historic landmark, but it has been around long enough that most people in Rewa know where we are. We have a small library and a bit of open space where the students hang out during their recess. The weather here can get quite hot, so we have done our best to keep the classrooms as cool as possible with fans. We do not have a lot of high-tech equipment or a corporate management team. It is mostly just the teachers and a few of us in the office making sure the schedules are followed. The mornings are usually a bit of a scramble at the front gate with all the cycles and rickshaws, but it settles down once the first bell rings. We focus on the traditional way of teaching from books and writing on the board. Parents often come by in the late afternoon to pick up their kids and check on how they are doing in class. It is a very open and direct way of running things. We do not make any big claims about being elite; we are just a local school doing our job.
