Bansal Agencies is right in the heart of Khadia Bazar in Shaktinagar. We are located in the Sonebhadra district. It’s a very hot and dry part of the country. Our shop is a big room filled with boxes and crates. We have been here for a long time, and we know most of the people who come into the bazaar. It is a very busy market area, so there is always a lot of shouting and horns honking outside. Inside, it’s a bit cooler but not much. We have a few big fans that hum all day. We sell all sorts of items to other retailers. It is a lot of counting and checking lists. The shelves are high and sometimes we have to use a shaky ladder to get things down. We don't have any fancy decorations. The walls are just plain white, and there are calendars from five years ago still hanging up. We drink tea with the other shopkeepers in the afternoon. It’s a tight-knit community here. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by candlelight for a while. It’s just how things are in Shaktinagar. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just show up, sell our goods, and go home when the sun goes down. It’s a decent life for us and we have no complaints about the work we do.
