Veenavadini Public School

Out here in Kashipur, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Veenavadini Public School is located right in this part of Rayagada. Our pincode is 765015 if you’re looking for us on a map. The school has been part of this community for years. Most mornings you can see the children walking down the roads in their uniforms, heading towards the gate. We have a decent sized building, though the paint on the outside has seen better days because of the heavy rains we get here. Inside, it’s mostly just classrooms with benches and blackboards. We spend our time working through the government syllabus and making sure the kids understand their lessons. It’s not always easy because some kids struggle with certain subjects, but we just take it one day at a time. The staff room is usually full of notebooks that need marking. During the rainy season, the playground gets a bit muddy, so the kids have to stay inside more. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just the ceiling fans that hum all day. It’s a regular school for regular people living in Kashipur. Sometimes we have small events for holidays where the kids draw pictures or sing songs. It’s nice to see them busy with something other than their books for a change. We just keep doing what we do every day without much fuss or noise.
