Vedanta Alumina Limited,Jaharsuguda

You can find us at Qrno D-12/8 in the J.K. Pur area of Rayagada. It is basically a staff quarter that we have turned into an office space for the Vedanta Alumina operations in Jharsuguda. Because it was built as a residence, it feels more like a home than a workplace. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee, and the main living room is where all the desks are crammed together. It gets a bit tight when everyone is in at the same time, especially with all the boxes of documents we have piled up in the corners. The neighborhood is mostly other workers and their families, so it is a very local vibe. We know the people living in the next units, and we often see them when we step out for air. The walls are a bit thin, so you can sometimes hear the neighbors' televisions or kids playing outside. It is not the most professional-looking setup, but it gets the job done. We don't have a lot of high-end furniture. Most of it is just stuff we have picked up over the years. The power goes out once in a while, and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. We don't mind the small inconveniences. It is just part of living and working in this corner of Orissa. We keep things simple and just focus on the tasks we have for the day.
