Rayagada is one of those places where everyone kind of knows their neighbor, especially in the Housing Board Colony. We go by the name Md. It’s a short name, but it gets the job done. Our spot is at Mir -9, which is easy enough to find once you get into the colony area. Orissa weather can be something else, especially in the summers when it gets really hot, so we try to keep the fans going all day. The office isn't anything special to look at. It's just a functional space where we handle our daily tasks. We’ve been here for a while and seen the neighborhood change a bit. The roads in the colony are narrow, so parking can be a bit of a headache if you have a big car. Most of the time it’s just the local sounds of kids playing outside or people heading to the market. We don’t have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us sitting here, working through whatever comes our way. Sometimes the internet is slow, which is frustrating, but we manage. People stop by sometimes just to say hello or ask for directions because the Mir numbering system can be a bit confusing for outsiders. We like it here though. It’s home. There’s a certain pace to life in Rayagada that you don't find in the big cities, and we’re quite used to it now. To be honest, we don't need much more than our desks and a bit of quiet to get through the work.
