Our office is tucked away in Rayagada, specifically at Simadri Bhawan over in Raniguda Farm. If you’re familiar with the area, we are quite close to the Mangala Mandir, which makes it easier for people to find us when they are visiting for the first time. Working in the ferro alloys industry here means keeping track of a lot of moving parts. This part of Orissa has its own pace, and we’ve adapted to it over time. The building is shared with the Panigrahi family, so it feels more like a home office than a big glass building you’d see in a city like Mumbai. We spend our days dealing with the technical side of Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd., mostly coordinating with the production sites and making sure the supply chain stays active. Sometimes the internet is slow, or we have to wait for someone to come back from lunch, but the work gets done eventually. It’s a lot of paperwork, phone calls, and keeping an eye on the clock. We don’t have a big marketing team here; it’s just a few of us making sure the operations run as they should. The local weather can be a bit much sometimes, but the view of the hills nearby is a nice trade-off. We’ve been at this for a while and have seen the neighborhood change, but our routine stays pretty much the same.
