Vedamrut Clinic

We are located right by Maruti Mandir. It’s a very easy place to find because everyone knows the temple. We get a lot of people stopping by after they’ve finished their prayers. The clinic isn't very big, just a few rooms where we see patients and keep our supplies. It gets quite busy on festival days when the whole area is packed with people. On those days, the bells from the mandir are ringing all morning, which is a nice sound to work to. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment here. It's mostly just basic furniture and the medicines we prepare. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to get around to it yet. My desk is usually covered in papers and small glass jars. We try to keep things organized, but when it gets busy, things tend to pile up a bit. People come in with all sorts of small problems, and we do what we can to help them out. There’s no big waiting room, just a few plastic chairs in the hallway. It’s a local place for local people. Most of the folks who come in live within walking distance, so we hear all the neighborhood news. It’s a steady way of life. We open early and stay until the last person is seen, then we lock up and head home just like everyone else around the mandir.
