Sidhi Vinayak General Store

Sidhi Vinayak General Store is located in the rural area of Tukrul Wadi, right along National Highway 17. We are very close to the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya here in Ratnagiri district. Being on the highway means we get a mix of local people and travelers who are just passing through. The shop is a typical general store where you can find all the daily essentials like snacks, cold drinks, toiletries, and some basic groceries. It’s a family business and we’ve been part of this community for a long time. The highway can get very busy, especially during the holiday seasons when people are traveling to the coast. We keep long hours because you never know when a traveler might need something. It’s a bit dusty because of the road, so we are always wiping down the counters and shelves. We don't have any fancy displays or neon lights. It’s just a plain shop with a few benches outside for people to rest for a minute. We like the location because we get to meet people from all over who stop for a quick break. The school nearby also brings in students and staff looking for supplies or a quick snack. We just try to keep the basics in stock and keep the place running smoothly. It’s hard work but it’s what we do here in Ratnagiri. Sometimes the cows from the village wander near the shop and we have to shoo them away so they don't block the entrance.
