Rockschool (India) Awarding Private Limited operates out of a house in Sawarda, which is a small village area in Chiplun. The house number is 3065. Ratnagiri is a beautiful part of the world, but it’s quite far from the big city rush. Working from here means things are very quiet. We don't have a big office building; it’s just a regular house where we handle all the awarding work. You can hear the birds and the wind through the trees more than you hear traffic. The house is sturdy, but like any old place in the Konkan, it needs constant care because of the heavy rains we get. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of filing cabinets filled with records. We spend our days going through certificates and keeping track of exams from across the country. It’s a bit strange to think that such a big network is managed from a quiet house in Sawarda, but it works for us. We don't have fancy office furniture, just what’s necessary and functional. Sometimes the power goes out during the monsoon and we have to wait it out. It’s a very grounded way to work. We know everyone in the village, and life here is simple. We just focus on getting the paperwork right and making sure the certificates get sent out to the right places on time.
