Rasraj Vashisthi Mahila Gramodyog

Rasraj Vashisthi Mahila Gramodyog is located at Plot No. 170, House Number 560, in the Shree Siddhi Ganesh area. We are right by the Vashishthi River New Bridge, which some people still call the Enron Bridge, over in Pharshititha. This is in the Pedhe area of Chiplun taluka. It’s a beautiful spot near the water, though the humidity can be a bit much sometimes when the sun is out. We are a local group, mostly women from around here, working together every day. Our building is simple and sits right in the heart of the village. We handle a lot of traditional things, mostly making stuff by hand. It’s a lot of chatting and working at the same time. The sound of the river is usually in the background, which is quite nice when it’s not too loud during the monsoon. We don't have a corporate office or a marketing team. We just have our workspace and our local community. People from the village often stop by to see what we are doing or just to talk for a bit. We’ve been here for a while, and it feels like a big family. Sometimes we run out of materials or the transport is late because of the bridge traffic, but we find a way to make it work. We take pride in what we do, but we don't go around bragging about it. It’s just our daily life here in Chiplun. We finish our work, pack up the day's results, and head home to our families in the evening.
