Annapurna Masale

We are based in Village Mandangad, which is in the Dhurtoli area of Ratnagiri. Our spot is right near the Main Chowk, so it’s easy for folks in the village to find us. Annapurna Masale is a small operation we started here because we know the local tastes. We handle all the spice processing ourselves. It's a loud and dusty job sometimes, but we are used to it by now. The village is a tight-knit community and we know most of our neighbors. We don't have a website or any fancy brochures. People just know where we are. The building is just a regular shop and work area combined. We spend the morning grinding and the afternoons packing. It’s a lot of work for a few people, but it keeps us on our toes. Ratnagiri can get very hot, so we try to get most of the heavy work done early in the day. We don't use any high-tech machinery, just the basic stuff that works. We aren't looking to expand into a giant company. We just want to keep the village supplied and keep the business running smoothly. It's an honest living and we are proud of what we do here near the chowk. Sometimes the local kids come by to see what we are doing. It’s just a normal part of life in Dhurtoli. The Main Chowk is always busy with people coming and going from the market. We can hear the noise from our workspace, but we don't mind.
