We are located right out by Satrunda on the Mhow-Neemuch Road in Ratlam. Being near such a busy road means there is always the sound of trucks and cars passing by outside our gate. It’s a bit of a landmark for people driving through this part of the country. The building itself is solid and does the job it’s supposed to do for the students. I get here early to beat the heat, usually seeing the first buses arrive with students from the nearby villages. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place organized and clean. There’s always a pile of papers on my desk and someone asking where the spare keys are. The rooms are basic, with desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just the classrooms and the outdoor space where everyone gathers for assemblies. During the rainy season, the ground gets a bit muddy, so we have to watch where we walk and remind the kids to wipe their shoes properly. It’s a practical kind of place. The staff mostly comes from the surrounding areas, so we all know the local news and what's happening in town. We focus on the lessons and getting through the syllabus without making much of a fuss. Sometimes we have to fix the fans or tighten a loose window frame, but that’s just part of running an academy out here. It’s steady work and the days go by pretty fast for all of us.
