Amit Infrastructures

Working out of Central Plaza Colony in Kasturba Nagar keeps us right in the middle of things. Being near Kartik Salve means there is always some construction or movement happening nearby. Our office is not one of those glass buildings you see in the movies. It is a practical space where we keep our maps, blueprints, and a lot of site boots that are usually covered in dust. The air here usually smells a bit like cement and old paper. We spend more time out on the sites than we do sitting behind the desk, but this is where all the planning happens. The chairs are a bit creaky and the computer takes a minute to start up in the morning, but it gets the job done. We have been part of this colony for a while now, so the neighbors all know when we are in. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It is not a polished life, but it is honest work. We deal with the infrastructure side of things, so it involves a lot of talking to contractors and checking on materials. My desk is usually a mess of measuring tapes and pens that barely work. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just show up every day at Amit Infrastructures and get through the list of tasks we have.
