Suman Ghosh & Co.

Suman Ghosh & Co. is a small name for a lot of work we do here in Rasulpur. We are based in the Memari area of Purba Burdwan, which is a place where everyone kind of knows what their neighbor is up to. My name is Suman, and I’ve been running this for years now. We don’t do any big fancy talk about our work. We just handle the business and make sure the people who come to us get what they need. Our office is in the village, so it’s pretty quiet most days except for the sound of tractors or motorcycles passing by. Purba Burdwan is a nice place to live and work, though the summers can be quite a struggle with the heat and humidity. We have a few staff members who have been with us since the beginning, so we are like a small family. We deal with various things depending on what the season calls for. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, and I find myself buried under bills and receipts on my old desk. We don’t have a big corporate sign or anything like that, just a simple place where work gets done. People come in, we have some tea, we discuss the orders, and then we get to it. It’s a slow and steady life, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep doing our part for the local community here.
