M/S Sujit Kirtaniya & Co.

M/S Sujit Kirtaniya & Co. is situated in Rasulpur, which is a small part of the Memari area in Purba Burdwan. It is a quiet place for the most part, surrounded by a lot of green fields. Our office is not very big, just a simple building where we handle our daily business. We deal with local trade and supplies that come through this part of the district. The roads around here can be a bit narrow, so when the big lorries come through, everything kind of stops for a bit. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who walk in from the village. It is a lot of paperwork, keeping track of what comes in and what goes out. My family has been around this area for a long time, so we know the local farmers and the other small business owners quite well. We don't have any big corporate goals, we just want to make sure the work gets done and the accounts are right at the end of the month. The monsoon season is always a bit of a worry because the rain can make the storage areas damp, so we have to stay on top of that. Sometimes the electricity cuts out and we just have to sit and wait for it to come back. It is just a regular life here in Rasulpur, doing the work that needs doing without much fuss or bother.
