The factory is out in the Sipcot Industrial Complex at Ranipet. Specifically we are at 85-B in Phase 2. If you have ever been to this area, you know it’s all big buildings and trucks moving in and out all day long. It’s a loud place because of the heavy machinery we use for the leather work. The smell of raw hides and the chemicals we use is something you just get used to after a week or two. We have quite a few people working on the floor here. It’s not an easy job because the heat in Ranipet can be really tough, especially in the middle of the day. We have stacks of leather skins piled up in the corners waiting to be processed. Most of the day is spent checking the quality and making sure the machines are running right. Saroj Leathers has been here for a while and we are just another part of this big industrial zone. There isn't much to see except for the work being done. We don't have a fancy reception or anything, just the main gate and the production area. Everyone wears heavy boots because the floors can get a bit messy. It’s a lot of physical labor and sweating. We keep the machines going and try to get the orders out on time. That is basically what happens every day at our spot in Sipcot.
