Gowell Leathers

We are based at No 21 Parry Nagar on Kellys Road in Ranipet. If you know anything about Ranipet, you know it is a town that really knows its leather. Gowell Leathers has been part of this local landscape for a while now. We do not have a fancy office or a corporate setup with a lot of staff. It is just a practical, honest workspace where we handle our leather products and check them over. The air around here usually smells like the tanneries, and we have grown to quite like it over the years. Inside our place, it is mostly about checking the quality of the leather and making sure everything is boxed up and ready for packing. We use a lot of heavy wooden tables for sorting through the different pieces of hide. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just take a short break outside until the lights come back on. We are not trying to impress anyone with big signs or flashy lights. Most of our work is about the materials we handle with our hands every day. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for a long time. We know each other’s habits and how we like things to be done. It is a quiet kind of work most of the time. We just focus on getting the leather sorted and sent out to whoever needs it.
