Durga Leathers

We spend most of our time here at 67 Sidco Industrial Estate in Ranipet 3. It is a busy area and the noise of the machines is something you just get used to after a while. Most days start early because there is always a lot of leather to move around and sort through before the heat gets too bad. We have been in this spot for a long time now. Working with leather is tough on the hands and you can usually smell the hides from the street before you even walk in through the main gate. We do not have a fancy office or anything like that. It is just a big workspace where we get things done. Most of the people working here have been around for years and they know exactly what they are doing with the scrap and the finished pieces. We mostly focus on getting the orders ready and making sure they get loaded onto the trucks. The estate is always crowded with vehicles coming and going, especially in the afternoons when everyone is trying to finish up. It can be a bit chaotic but it works for us. We just keep our heads down and handle the tasks for the day. Usually, we wrap up when the sun goes down, though sometimes we stay late if there is a big shipment. It is honest work and we are just regular people making a living here. We show up and do what needs doing.
