Obaidul Khan & Co.

Obaidul Khan & Co. is located in the village of Binchakra, which is under the Raninagar police station in Murshidabad. It’s quite a way from the main city, so things move a bit slower out here. We are a small firm that handles local business matters and whatever else comes our way. Our office is a modest one, just a couple of rooms with some old wooden furniture and some ceiling fans that creak when they turn. We don't have a lot of staff, usually just myself and a couple of others who help with the paperwork and the field visits. Many of our days are spent traveling to meet people in nearby villages. The roads aren't always great, so it takes a while to get anywhere. We don't have a fancy logo or a glossy brochure to show people. Most of our work comes from people who know us or have heard about us from their neighbors. It’s a very personal way of doing business, and we prefer it that way. We drink a lot of tea while we discuss things with our clients. It isn't a high-pressure corporate environment at all. We just try to help out where we can and make sure the records are kept straight. It’s a quiet life in Binchakra, and we are happy to be a part of this community, doing our bit every day.
