This part of Prasad And Company (Project Works)Limited is situated at the Mejia Thermal Power Station. We are in the Mejia-B area under the DVC Corporation in Bankura, West Bengal. It is a very industrial setting, being right there at the 2X500 MW power station. The environment is full of smoke and the sound of machinery. Our office is basically a site office meant for managing the project works on the ground. It is a bit of a trek to get out here, but this is where the work is. We spend most of our time in our work boots and safety vests. The office is often dusty from the nearby construction and power plant activities. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and simple meals since there aren't many places to eat nearby. It is a tough job being away from the main cities, but the crew here is like a small family. We keep track of all the technical details and the labor shifts from this little building. It is not a place for visitors really, just a hub for the engineers and the project managers to coordinate everything. We handle the challenges of the power station environment every day and just focus on getting the project finished as required by the contract. It is noisy and dirty sometimes, but we are used to the industrial life by now.
