Shahi Clinic

Shahi Clinic is located right near the Hanuman Temple and that is really the only direction you need to find us. You can hear the bells ringing from the temple throughout the day and it gives the whole area a certain kind of feeling. We are just a small clinic and we don't have any big signs or flashing lights. People know us because we have been in this spot for a while. The waiting area is just a few chairs and a table with some old health pamphlets. It is usually a bit dusty because of the road outside but we sweep it out every morning. When the temple has a festival it gets very crowded on the street and it is hard to get to our door but we stay open anyway. We see people for coughs and colds and the usual things that go wrong with your health. The doctor sits in a small room in the back and the patient sits on a stool. It is very basic and we don't use any big complicated words. We just listen to what is wrong and try to help. Living and working so close to the Hanuman Temple means we see a lot of the same faces every single day. We are just a part of the neighborhood like the tea stall or the grocery store. It is not a grand place but it is our place. It is just where we go to work every morning and wait for the first person to walk in.
