Khk Gears

Khk Gears is tucked away at 3-1-145 in the Rajatagiri part of Gandhinagar. It is a quiet enough neighborhood, which is nice for a change. We have been working with gears here for quite some time. It is a small operation, just a few of us who know our way around a workshop. The space is not huge, but we have managed to fit all the necessary equipment inside. You will usually find us hunkered over a workbench or checking the calibration on a machine. We do not have a big marketing department or anyone to answer phones with a script. If the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and picks it up. Most of what we do is custom work for people who cannot find the right parts elsewhere. It involves a lot of manual labor and making sure the metal is cut just right. Some days are better than others, especially when a tricky job finally comes together. We see a lot of the same faces coming in, which is good because it means they know what to expect from us. We do not make big promises; we just show up every morning and get to work on whatever is on the schedule. The air smells like metal shavings and coolant most days. It is a simple life and a simple business, but it keeps us busy and we like the community here. There is always something to do.
