Kaka Siddaiah

Our place, Kaka Siddaiah, is out at Survey No.274. We are right near the HP petrol bunk in Gajan Pahad. It’s a bit out of the main way, which we actually like. There’s more space for us to do our work. We’ve been operating from this location for quite some time now. It’s not a polished business park; it’s just a piece of land where we’ve set up shop. Most people find us by looking for the petrol bunk first. We do a lot of heavy work here. It gets dusty and the sun can be quite strong in Gajan Pahad. We don't have any fancy mission statements or things like that. We just show up every morning and see what needs to be done. It’s a small group of us. We’ve known each other for years. We handle the materials and talk to the drivers who come in. Sometimes the roads around here get a bit rough after the rain, but we manage. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big office. We just want to do our job and keep things moving. It’s honest work. If you come by, you’ll probably see us near the back of the property. We usually have the radio on and a pot of tea going. That’s just how we run things around here. There’s always some task that needs finishing before we can head home.
