Our place is right there at 36-9-85 on the Hyderabad Highway in Thimmapur. If you're driving down the main road, you can't really miss the sign. It's been our home base for a long time now. The yard gets pretty hot in the summer, especially with all the sun hitting the pavement, but we have a small shaded area where we take our breaks. It isn't anything fancy, just a spot to sit for a minute. We keep the gate open most of the day because there's always a truck coming in or heading out with a delivery. Dealing with the highway traffic can be a headache sometimes when we're trying to move the big equipment around. Inside the office, there are stacks of papers and old ledgers because we still like doing some things the old way. My cousin usually handles the phone calls while I’m out back checking on the inventory. Sometimes the dust from the road gets everywhere, so we’re always sweeping up. It’s hard work, and your hands definitely get dirty by lunch. We mostly deal with locals and the occasional driver passing through who needs something quick. We aren’t big on fancy talk or long meetings. We just get the job done and hope the weather stays clear for the afternoon shift. That’s pretty much how it goes here every day.
