It’s a very grounded, practical business focused on water. The building itself is quite simple and we don't spend much on keeping it looking pretty. What matters is the machinery inside that cleans the water. It’s a damp environment because of all the pipes and tanks, and you can always hear the sound of water flowing through the system. We spend a lot of our time hauling heavy 20-liter cans around the floor. It’s a lot of physical labor, and our clothes are often a bit wet by the time the shift is over. Bachupally is a developing area, but it still has that village feel that we’ve grown to like. We don't have a corporate structure or a big HR department. It’s just a few local people making sure the water is ready for the neighborhood. We start early in the morning and sometimes go until late if the demand is high. Most of our neighbors know the sound of our machines and the sight of our delivery carts. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just provide a basic service to the people around us. It’s an honest, repetitive job that keeps us busy every single day of the week. We just focus on the water and the cans.
