Rohinis The Girl Foundation

If you head down Librarylane in Ngos Colony, you’ll find us at S-C/4/594. Rohinis The Girl Foundation isn't a massive organization with hundreds of employees. It's just a small group of us in this part of Vanasthalipuram. We’ve been set up here for a bit, near L B Nagar. Most of our days are spent dealing with the basics. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. Usually, whoever is closest to the door gets it. The office gets a bit dusty because of the road work nearby, but we keep it going. We focus on the girls in the community. It’s mostly about making sure they have what they need for school or just daily life. Sometimes we run out of supplies and have to wait for the next delivery. It gets busy in the afternoons when the kids are out of school. We try to keep things organized, but with a small space, it gets cluttered fast with books and papers. My sister and a few neighbors help out whenever they have free time. We aren't looking to be famous or anything, just doing what we can from this little spot in the colony. It's a lot of manual work and writing things down in ledgers. We prefer it that way. If you’re walking past the library, you might see us. We’re usually there until late. It's just honest work we do every day. It isn't perfect, but we like it. We have been here for the long haul.
