The office is just a normal room where we handle the chit fund business. We’ve got the 509216 pincode area covered, mostly because we live around here ourselves. It’s a local thing where people come together to save. We handle the collection and the payouts when the time comes. There’s always someone sitting at the desk with a register. It’s not a high-tech operation, just some good pens and big notebooks to keep everything straight. We know who is who in Simla Colony. Sometimes the tea stall guy brings over a few cups while we are discussing the monthly draws. It can get a bit loud when everyone shows up on the same day, but that is just how it goes with chit funds. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to make sure the money stays safe and everyone gets their turn. The building is older but it stays cool in the summer which is nice for us. We spend our mornings checking the mail and making sure the entries are up to date before the first person knocks on the door. It’s a decent way to spend the day and we like the people we work with every month.
