Agn Castings

You can find us over at Plot No 474 in Chengicherla. It’s part of the Ghatkesar area in Telangana. We’ve been here at Agn Castings for a while now, doing the heavy work that comes with a casting business. It’s hot work, as you’d expect with metal and molds. The shop floor is where most of the action happens, and the office is just a small corner where we handle the bills and phone calls. Chengicherla is a good spot for us because there’s enough space to move things around. We get a lot of trucks coming in and out with raw materials and finished parts. Sometimes the dust is a bit much, but we’re used to it. The team knows the routine—heat up the furnace, prepare the molds, and get the pouring done. It’s a lot of physical labor and you have to be careful. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or things like that. We just focus on getting the parts out the door. Sometimes things don’t come out of the mold perfectly, so we have to redo them, which is just part of the job. It's a grit and sweat kind of life here. We’re just local people doing a job that needs doing. It gets quite warm in the summer, making the work even harder, but the guys just keep going until the shift is over. We usually have some cold water waiting in the breakroom for everyone.
