We usually open up early in the morning because that is when people are out looking for milk or bread for breakfast. Ranchi is a crowded city but our little corner in Kadru feels a bit quieter. We have been sitting behind this counter for a long time now. We sell basic things like soap, snacks, and stationery. It’s not a big corporate setup or anything like that. Just a regular shop where we keep track of things in a notebook. Sometimes it gets a bit messy with boxes everywhere, but we know where everything is. If someone needs a quick packet of salt or a cold drink, they just stop by. We don’t have fancy shelves or bright lights. It is just a simple stone building. Most of our customers are folks who live right on the next street. We see the same faces every day. It’s nice knowing who is coming through the door. We try to keep the stock updated so nobody goes back empty-handed. We don't really do much advertising. People just know we are here. That is how it has always been for us at Wakquar General Store.
